Anyone else just start singing that "Pants on the Ground" song in their head...just me...well anyway I don't know what it is about bed time but it sure does bring out the goofiness in our girls.

Well Lilly will turn 5 in 4 days. I can't believe another year has flown by so quickly! One of the requests she had for her birthday was to have a friend over. So we called her best friend from preschool, Macy, and asked if she would like to come over to play for the day. The girls did so well together and even included Nolee in everything they did without any complaints. It was very cute and fun to watch the interaction between them all.
We swam, played kitchen and house, jumped on the trampoline, rode bikes and played Wii Just Dance. Then we found we had some glow sticks left over in the pantry so we decided we should do the Wii Just Dance completely in the dark with glow bracelets and anklets on the girls. They had a blast and it was so entertaining to watch - like our own private light show :).

With the 90+ (heck we are supposed to be over a 100 today) we have been getting here, we are really taking advantage of our pool.
This one has no fear and is such a fish.
Nolee is still working up to some things but is still a fish. We are hoping to get her to jump into the pool on her own by the end of the summer.

We are lucky enough that the lake my parents have a cottage on does an AMAZING fireworks show. It's done by one of the residents who takes donations all year long and I have to tell it does not look like this guy is an amateur. The show lasted for at least 30 minutes. This is the first year that the girls haven't been afraid so it was truly fun to experience all the oohs & ahhs without the screams and cries :).
We took the pontoon boat out to the middle of the lake to enjoy the show and it was so neat when the show was over to look out over the sea of pontoon boat lights. It is definitely something we will be repeating every year!
The kids were decked out with glow sticks/necklaces, anklets & bracelets.
We were lucky enough that the girls even slept in until 8:00 the next day...that's pretty much a record for them :).

Both girls were super excited to go to their cousin Trace's birthday party. Not only were they guaranteed
cake, it was at Kokomo's so they were able to do tons of arcade games, go carts & water bumper boats to boot. Add onto that hanging with their cousins, Aunt/Uncle & Nana & Papa and the excitement level in the car ride there was almost more than they could take.
By the time it was all said and done the girls had so much fun and were completely exhausted. Nolee made it just out of the parking lot before she conked out and Lilly made it maybe a mile. Thanks for inviting us to your birthday party Trace - it rocked!
